stocky-to-slim

runningwithpump:

I thought after a year worth of work, I should give this its own post on my blog.

Been eating better and so far managed to cut all cakes and biscuits.
Drinking alot more water and was feeling not too bad.
Until I weighed myself.
Back at my heaviest, 193lb so I’m now pretty depressed.

I’ll struggle on and going to exercise loads more too.
Going to be selfish and exercise when I can and just get my weight down.

Two days in a row been early to work.
Not sure what’s happened.

Yesterday, eaten really well and it gets to the evening an I suddenly end up making a pineapple crumble.
Three mouthfuls later ad I feel rough so give up. First time I think as normally I’d force it until it felt like my stomach was tearing.

My stomach is always bloated but solid and I can never eat more than a sandwich and then I feel rough.
Seems like I’ve messed up my body properly.

To top it, the English weather really sucks at the moment.

Week off

Well my week of rest days is here again. The six week roster goes around fast.
I’m going to try and not waste this week like the last one.
Unfortunately everyone is at work so I’ll have to do everything alone.

Start with the housework and give the flat a tidy then some EA sports active to warm up.
Will grab the mtb out and head into the hills for a 20 mile loop.
Home then and if the sea is calm an hours kayaking after lunch.

Also think we’re hitting Brighton on te bmxs this evening.
As long as I burn a minimum of 1000cals today I’ll be moderately happy.

What’s everyone else doing???

Well this will be a first. Decided to put a picture of what I look like now at the ‘before’ stage.

oh, this is 191lb at 5ft6 (so only a short arse). My head looks too big and fat for my frame.

Maybe this will give me motivation to push through and get an ‘after’ picture worthy of some of the other dedicated people on here.

I want to be the next success and have comments of how I’ve changed.

Any comments currently would be welcome.

weigh in

After eating better this week and eating more I decided to brave the scales this morning. Beginning of the week I was 194lbs, and this morning now at 191 so not too bad.

Considering the lowest I’ve ever been since I was in my twenties was 185lbs. I realise I’ve still got a long way to go, and diet alone isn’t going to help me. Nor is the current level of exercise I currently do.

Due to the weather I’ve not been out on the bike alot, and the hockey season finished so I’m not training or playing matches, So I need to severely ramp up the amount I do. Running isn’t an option as I detest it and feel like I’m denting the floor everytime I run. Maybe when I get down to near my goal weight I’ll feel different about running, but until then, I’ll cycle loads more at a high RPM.

I’m not blaming the girlfriend, but the amount of ‘stuff’ the garage has gathered since she moved in is crazy. My weights bench is under a pile and no way of getting to it until I do a massive clear out.

Until then, I’ll have to go to my parents and use their gym. Just feels like I’m using them to train then leave.

Anyway, breakfast then if the sea is calm, drag the kayak down the road and go for a paddle for an hour of so. Then home and do a 30 mile ride.

I have to show him off again because I couldn’t be more proud.

100 lbs lost through good old fashioned hard work and healthy eating.

time to have a good hard talk with myself

Just finished my seven day shift and normally I’d wake up after the two 12 hour days just done and I’d bum around all day and completely waste my days off.

I’ve now got my three days off and I’m actually going to be productive.

Usually I’d wait until my brother was free in the evening to do anything like go cycling, but realising that I need to train so much more, I need to do things with anytime I have free to myself.

Had a decent amount of sleep last night and woke up feeling good and productive today.

Coffee and porridge then Ill do some cleaning before I start on the exercise.

I’ve been looking into so many diets, and exercise plans, but I never seem to be able to motivate myself to get started. Though I’ve got the whole P90X programme so I’m tempted to start on that and push myself harder than I’ve ever done.

If I can spend the next 90 days working my arse off I can hopefully drop from my current 23% BF and get into the tens. I’d ideally like to be around 10-12%.

Ill get a BEFORE picture up if anyone is interested in seeing. All my fat is around my mid section. My arms and legs are ok, admittedly they could do with defining, but in time that will come. My things are also huge, but thats been the result of skating, cycling and hockey since I was young. Would be nice to drop some focus on the legs and just loose all fat and drop their size.

So plenty to do, but my issue will be willpower and motivation and trying to stick with it everyday.

Does anyone else suffer from this? Do you get past this stage where you remember to do it everyday and keep pushing?
